Maintenance and Servicing.
Our company was founded back in 2000 and the main aim was to provide transport companies with reliable maintenance and service. Including a 24 hour call out service for emergency repairs to Dock Levellers loading bay doors. We now we have annual service contracts with several big distribution depots including DSV ROAD, MATHEW CLARKE WHOLESALERS, NIGHTFRIEGHT UK. We also carry out regular maintenance and servicing for KELTRUCK SCANIA GROUP and PRITCHARD GROUP.

ALL OF THE REGULATIONS BELOW ARE BINDING ON THE EMPLOYER (NOT THE SUPPLIER OR MAINTAINER) WHO HAVE A DUTY TO SAFEGUARD THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF THEIR EMPLOYEES AND VISITORS
All Types of Doors – Relating to Regulation 5 of the Workplace (Health Safety & Welfare) Regulations 1992
“………the equipment, devices and systems to which this regulation applies shall be subject to a suitable system of maintenance”
Requires regular maintenance (to suppliers/manufacturers recommendations) carried out at regular intervals, identifying dangerous defects to be remedied, suitable records to be kept.
Electric Power Operated Doors – Regulation 6 of the Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1996
“Every employer should ensure that work equipment is maintained in an efficient state, in efficient working order and in good repair.”
Every employer should ensure where any machinery has a maintenance log, the log is kept up to date.”
This not only restates he rules previously covered in the Safety Regs but also lays stress on the need for the personnel carrying out the maintenance work to be adequately trained.
Fire Exit and Compartment Doors – Regulation 6 of the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997
“where necessary, in order to safeguard the safety of employees in case of fire, the workplace and any equipment and devices provided ………. Shall be subject to a suitable system of maintenance and be maintained in an efficient state, in efficient working order and in good repair.”
PENALTIES CAN INCLUDE PROHIBITION AND ENFORCEMENT NOTICES,LARGE FINES(up to £5000) AND IMPRISONMENT (upto 2 years)
